| I must admit, I have no idea how subraces actually work... I was looking at the wiki(nice job btw.) and I decided I am gonna make some blue dwarf hehe(perfect for my pure cleric!) - Wiki wrote:
Arctic Dwarf
ECL Adjustment: +1 Ability Bonus: +4 Constitution Skill Bonus: +1 Concentration So that +4CON stacks somehow? Or...? And that +1concentration is per level or just +1?

| Sub races start one level lower then others and max lvl is 39... And there bonuses counts towards the cap.
Can't view the state pages for any of the subraces in the wiki. I guess i make a human then, and missing one level and the bonuses counts towards the cap dosent make it that super imo.

[Looks]...Weird. Something/someone removed them/broke the links :O I shall fix this. Edit: Fixed. Most of the time with a broken link, if the page was completed, you can use the wikia search bar that's on the left to still find pages, but it's nice to let us know to fix it. Thanks for letting us know!

Even from a strict powergaming perspective, subraces are all right for some builds. Moreover, we wanted to move away from the "everyone is a drow/tiefling/demigod" model. We felt that making adding some drawbacks to the subraces would accomplish this.

| On the plus side, thanks to testing, barbarian terrifying rage will take your ECL into account, so you won't be constantly feared by the bad barbarian on the other side if you are effectively the same level as them. | |

| Heh, indeed. All of the boosted first level feats also adjust for ECL. | |

| Is subrace supposed to suffer xp penalty? Because I receive 190xp per timed and 1xp for guys who are normally per 2xp... Pretty odd since I am pure cleric O.o | |

| Yes; subraced characters receive a ~-5% experience reduction on account of them needing less experience to hit their level cap. | |

| Would it be possible to have them gain 2xp minimum? I know it frustrated me to no end on Moth's that I needed to kill twice as many deer as a non-multiclassed player. Effectively this could lead to a 50% xp penalty, depending on what you're doing. Seems especially cruel to do this to someone who is only meant to be suffering a 5% penalty.
And who knows, maybe the prospect of getting double xp will encourage those high levels to actually kill the low level critters they are currently running past!
Multiclass penalties are still in, right?

| Fo sho? That's good to know. I propose listing that in the journal in the Character Build Restrictions. I had no idea! | |
