Is it a good idea for players to announce their drunken-ness? Particularly DMs!

P.S: I've had a few drinks, but now I'm going to bed. Like a good boy!

I think it is okay to get wasted as a test to oneself of self-control and to learn to keep ones sanity in tack. It is also a way for an individual to bring out the true character of a person and also makes for awesome roleplay because that individual is serious when in play.
